Cellulose is the most common organic compound on planet Earth. They use cotton and wood pulp due to their high percentage of cellulose and low carbon footprint compared to similar synthetic fibers. Airplane pilots of the 1930s are often credited with the popularity of green lenses, which they chose to wear because of their ability to perform in sunny or low-light environments while reducing glare and brightening shadows.
