Aki is a stark style that sits lower on the bridge of the nose. Moderately wide, but vertically thin. Like all Monokel Eyewear frames, the Aki is handcrafted using eco-friendly materials and practices.

Color:

The production of Havana acetate is truly an artisanal process. First, Monokel Eyewear makes small colored pellets in different shades of yellow, brown and orange by mixing organic color powder with biodegradable raw cellulose acetate. The result is a highly durable hypoallergenic material, made from renewable resources. The colored acetate pellets are then mixed and shaken by hand to achieve the speckled Havana pattern, making each frame's pattern unique - no two pairs are the same.

Glasses:

Gray lenses are known for their classic style and versatility. They are perfect for reducing glare on sunny and cloudy days, while also providing anti-fatigue benefits. Gray lenses have the added benefit of allowing true color perception, showing the color of objects in their purest form. All lenses benefit from an anti-scratch and anti-reflective treatment with 100% UVA/UVB protection. Made by the famous German lens and optics manufacturer Carl Zeiss.
