Color

The manufacturing of Havana acetate is a true artisanal process. First, Monokel makes small colored pellets in different shades of yellow, brown and orange by mixing organic color powder with raw biodegradable cellulose acetate. The result is a highly durable and hypoallergenic material, made from renewable resources. The colored acetate pellets are then mixed and stirred by hand to achieve our Havana Speckled pattern, making each frame's pattern unique - no two pairs are the same.

Glasses

Orange, pink and red lenses enhance contrast and visual depth, especially in green landscapes and blue skies. All lenses are treated against scratches and reflections and offer 100% UVA/UVB protection. Made by the famous German lens and optics manufacturer Carl Zeiss.
