Color

The manufacturing of Havana acetate is a true artisanal process. First, Monokel makes small colored pellets in different shades of yellow, brown and orange by mixing organic color powder with raw biodegradable cellulose acetate. The result is a highly durable and hypoallergenic material, made from renewable resources. The colored acetate pellets are then mixed and stirred by hand to achieve our Havana Speckled pattern, making each frame's pattern unique - no two pairs are the same.

Lenses

Gray lenses are known for their classic style and versatility. They are perfect for reducing glare on sunny or cloudy days, while providing anti-fatigue benefits. Gray lenses have the added benefit of allowing true color perception - showing the color of objects in their purest form. All lenses feature anti-scratch and anti-reflective treatment and 100% UVA/UVB protection. Made by the famous German lens and optics manufacturer Carl Zeiss.
