Color

The Amber colorway offers a timeless style to wear for years - another way Monokel Eyewear is reducing the need for overconsumption. They make their Amber color by mixing organic color powder with raw biodegradable cellulose acetate. The result is a highly durable and hypoallergenic material, made from renewable resources. The soft speckled pattern is achieved by mixing small pellets of different shades of orange, yellow and red, making each frame's pattern unique - no two pairs are the same.

Lens

Airplane pilots of the 1930s are often credited with the popularity of green lenses, which they chose to wear because of their ability to perform in sunny or low-light environments while reducing glare and brightening shadows. All lenses are scratch and glare coated and provide 100% UVA/UVB protection. Made by renowned German lens and optics manufacturer Carl Zeiss.
